well you have a built in firewall in the way of IPtables, but if you want to configure you can search add/remove for firestarter.

I like gufw (http://gufw.tuxfamily.org/index.html). I've had more success with it than with firestarter. Unfortunately, it's not in the repositories yet. Click here (http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/10556/) to sign a petition to change that. (I don't think that number of votes is a bug)
