Hi there!

I am kind of new in Linux, so I have some problems with the desktop effects.
I have downloaded and installed MurrinaAquaish theme and it say that if I want the metacity download from....
I did it but can't make the change to look like in the screenshot.
I have installed Metacity themes from the repository, but can't find them to enable them.
Thanks for your help!

I am not at a Linux computer... but if my memory serves me right... You go to System > Preferences > Appearance and in the lower right corner you will see install... click that and select the theme that you downloaded. That should be all.

you can just download the theme to your desktop and drag and drop it into the appearance preference box that should install it also some themes may not work or may need a different app to install it like emerald theme manager

check this guide is to make your Ubuntu look like mac I know is not what you had in mind but it has some screenshots it should give you an idea on how to do it

Thank you!
That was it!
And also thanks for the idea for the Mac look-alike.
Maybe I will change my desktop in to this.
