I have a problem with my Trust HS4100 USB-Headset (C-Media chip) under Ubuntu 8.04. I plugged it in and it seemed to work properly as it played the "welcome sound". But soon I learned that only one channel, the right one, worked. I tried to turn up the volume via the gui. But I couldn't even turn up the left channel.
I'm pretty new to Ubuntu and Linux in general but I read some HOWTO's and none worked for me. But they didn't mention my problem either I just found some similar threads in different forums mentioning my problem but lacking an answer.
P.S.: The chip set sound card works fine. It seems only to be a problem with my headset.
