Could we get a Warcraft III guide please!!

I get this fatal error and no cd key fail (after i install the 1.22a patch)
has anyone got it working?

I upgraded to 1.22a and it is still asking me for cd key

i got it working on my laptop. but its working really slow.
all i did was installing wine then intall the CD with a genuine key
and the I installed the update and everything (except the speed) is OK

How'd u get past the direct x error and the no cd key? I don't think genuine key matters (i have genuine key) because 1.22a patch supposedly allows u to play without cd

have you try opening warcraft try with a -opengl command?

well -opengl fixed this error (both of them) but the game wont start and my comp stays on a black windows and does nothing
in addition how do you open warcraft 3 as a windows not as full screen ( i have tried the -window command but not work)

If you had read this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=624436), you would have known to read this (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3126) and you might be able to solve your problem.
