hello, new here and new to ubuntu. Have been struggling with the various ways there seem to be of getting the B43xx driver to work in hardy heron. I have internet, but only via XP at the ment, as my connection is solely wireless. Is there a way to get the broadcom driver sorted w/o internet in Ubuntu?
Thanks for any help,
Fred

You can just download it on the xp machine, put it on a memorystick or shared partition and install it when you boot up into ubuntu..
I think this thread gives yoo what you need.

Thanks for the help and pointers! got it all working, very pleased with ubuntu. It just takes a bit of getting used to. Hopefully will only need to use XP for activesync and the odd game of BF2!!
cheers, Fred :guitar:
