I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and can not get my Aztech WL635USB Wireless Adapter to work. Do I need to install a driver or will Ubuntu automatically detect the adapter?

Hi there.

Try installing Windows drivers for the same using NDISWrapper. It would at least get it to work. Then you can hunt for a Linux native driver.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Harry

I have exactly the same problem, except that my laptop on which i want to install the drivers for the aztech wl635usb , has NO other way to connect to the internet except through the dongle, which is not installed. Any help ??? I am new to linux but would love to make a complete break off from windows to linux.

Please help me.thanx:D
