Talk about such a easy question...
To the first one-
The deskto cube and anything that goes with it,the flame effect, and the water effect.
Too the second question, nothing as far as I know.

I don't know about Leopard, but compiz-fusion can do a lot more. Check out the plugins and effects that can be done.

Aero (Vista) uses more RAM to do less. Aero also has only a few options (with maximum options activated, it barely is the same as some default compiz configs, not to mention Windows's lack of multiple workspaces)

Workspaces.
Tke cube.
Desktop wall
Put.
Fade to Desktop.
Ring, shift and stack switcher.
Expo.
Group and Tab Windows.
Water + paint fire on screen.
Wobbly Windows.
Reflection.
Trailfocus.
Blur.
Zoom desktop.
Not to mention that the animations are much better, and so are the window management features (such as resize info and keybindings)

That said, I would love to see compiz be used as a backend for cross-program-animations like the Mac. In the short time that I used one, I noticed a lot of nice, subtle effects on things. (Such as adding new Dashboard widgets. Drag and drop from a stack to say, Transmission, that always made a dialogue fade in similar to Amarok 2's music options.)
I think Linux needs more subtle animations on things. Then it'd be perfect.

wait... i forgot to say, all i've seen in leopard is expose, drop shadow, bouncy icons, and the vacuum window animation, all of which i've seen on compiz.
as for aero, i haven't seen anything yet... too lazy to watch youtube vids bout aero. i'd rather see those effects first hand than watch it (which i've done on leopard)

Well if you tryout the unstable and unsupported plug ins for compiz-fusion you might get what you are looking for.

There's a good video on this:

The video of Linux's effects is a little out of date, but you've already seen them anyway.

Just look at FusionCast for some of the best Compiz features.
Vista's Aero has these features:
Basic 3D window shifting
Basic window previews (hover mouse over taskbar sort of thing)
Basic closing/minimizing/opening effect (all the same Fade in at angle/ Fade out at angle)
other than some fancy-schamncy going on at boot and login, nothing else really.

Well at least in comparison to Aero I think Compiz kicks its @#$$%
For one Compiz uses much less memory with more effects enabled.
Two you can disable compiz without loosing basic functionality (I have disabled aero many times and the system just relies too much on flashy effects to get the job done).
Three Compiz is always improving, in my experience compiz is right up there with apple's effects at least in terms of functionality and small memory load.
One thing Compiz lacks is stability, but its still very new.
But even so I still feel Compiz is more stable then Aero, I have seen what happens when aero crashes and I will tell you its not pretty.

actually, compiz can sorta do a cylinder
as of what i know you can use the "cube" with 2+++++ rows of workspaces. by the way, rows, it ignores columns... i stupidly thought that i neede a 4x4 grid to get the cube :lolflag:
