It is my understanding that next February the only over-the-air signals in US will be ATSC. What ATSC tuner do you have working with mythbuntu?

I see so little about this on this forum that I have to conclude that most mythubuntu users are cable/satellite subscribers.

tamoneya: have a look at this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=785476&page=8
The hvr-1800 is similar to your 1250: even though it costs twice as much, I suspect it's an earlier model with a lower scale of integration. Happened with 500->150.
In any case, the software problems in that thread may apply to your board.

Quite the contrary - I think a lot of folks are OTA users. I personally have 2 Kworld 115 tuners in my box - streaming OTA HD without any difficulty. I know the silicon dust hdhomerun is also used for atsc/ota frequently - but I don't have one.

I used to use OTA on Kworld 110s, pchdtv 5500 and dvico fusion 5 lite. Now I use all but one of them with QAM.

Here is a lengthy, detailed and up-to-date account of one user's success with ATSC110 &115 in all their modes.

There are several threads like this here:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/engine?list=mythtv;do=search_results;search_forum= forum_1;search_string=tuners%20atsc;search_type=AN D&sb=post_time
but none, as far as I looked, discuss mythbuntu compatibility.

+1 Kworld 110 and 115's work perfect for ATSC OTA broadcasts. I am using 3 with no issues in my backend.
