Hi,

Im practically a newbie, i just installed Asterisk on a ubuntu desktop version, and i want to know if somebody could point me in the right direction, i need a app that could monitor and report my internet speed, ping, packet loss, etc. between my IP and the voip provider IP.

I would really appreciate some help, i have been using smokeping, nagios and other tools but none of them monitor internet speed.

Thanks

Take a look at speedometer and cbm. Both are in the repositories.

dont use speedmeter , it slows you down,
use netspeed (http://blog.shevin.info/2008/10/see-your-internet-speed-in-moment-just.html) gnome applet.
