Error while ./configure

Hello everyone,
I have tar.gz files with me but, when I tries to give command ./configure , lots of errors are occurs and suggests me to install compilers,set paths and etc. .
Is there any pakage in which i will get all compilers ?

sudo apt-get install build-essential
If you don't have a high-speed connection (like me) you can pop in the CD and add it as a repo.
