My ex-boyfriend messed with my MySpace page- when I go to it, it won't let me type or log in. I can't get a spyware to do a complete scan?? and when I first scanned with clamTK - it picked up four trojan viruses, which it cleaned up. I have no idea what this guy did to my computer or how to fix it?? Any ideas out there ??

well the safe thing to do would be to do all this fixing through the liveCD. That way any virii or malwares will not get permanently installed.

You have simply not provided near enough info for anyone here to give you some advice. You will need to tell us a few things, like for instance,
what kind of computer do you have? Is it a PC? How old is it? What is the operating-system that you have? Give us a better idea of what you are seeing/what is happening when you do visit myspace.

good luck!

OK, now can you describe a bit better what you are experiencing when you try to go and log into myspace? Take a screenshot and post it back here.

Applications>Accessories>Take Screenshot.

Murphy71 that will not work, we won't be able to see your screenshot because you have it saved there on your computer. You would have to actually post it here.
Otherwise I'm not too sure what would prevent you from being able to enter in your acct info on the myspace form to log in. Have you tried logging in from another computer?

I know, I can't get it post... yeah, I can access at any other computer, just not this one.

Can you try starting firefox in safe mode?
Close firefox, then run, from either the terminal or the Run Application Dialog (Alt + F2)
firefox --safe-mode

And then see if can upload the image, and if you have problems at the myspace site. The results will provide additional information as to what is going on

IMO since your computer is infected, the easiest and most secure thing to do is a clean format. Chances are that when your computer got infected, it wasn't with just that one virus so if you only attempt to delete that there may be other viruses still on your computer doing damage.

could it be that just your javascript is turned off in firefox?
