I saw this program (kfontviewer) heartily recommended in another thread, and I tried a search for it in synaptic, and it turned up nothing, so I tried Google, and got several mentions of the program, but nothing about where or how to get it. Do any of you out there know?
Thank you,
Steve Shelby

It should be in Add/Remove ("All available applications", "KFontView").

OK, I tried that. It's not there. I have Gnome desktop. Is kfontviewer only available with KDE?

Kubuntu uses the same repositories as Ubuntu. You will probably have to install some KDE packages with KFontView, so I don't know . Make sure that 'universe' is enabled. There isn't an individual package for it but I can def see it in Add/Remove (Applications >> Add/Remove).

Thanks for the screenshot. Mine looks just like that, with the same list of programs, except for kfontview!

Make sure you're searching for "KFontView" not "KFontViewer" or you won't get any results.
