hello mac user!, did you try running it from /applications? or maybe a reboot? I don't have much experience with Tiger, my mac book came with leopard:mad: but I would suggest that you find it in /applications and drag it to the dock menu

Version 7.1.4 is an update to the iMovie 7.x.x series. It doesn't upgrade your iMovie 6.x.x version.

As far as I know Apple doesn't sell iMovie seperately so you'll have to purchase iLife 7. It runs on both 10.4 and 10.5 and the price is in my opinion rather moderate.

Unless there is something in the newest iMovie that you must have, you are better off with your version. The latest iMovie actually removed some features from iMovie HD 6 and is reportedly slower. Apple even provides a free download of iMovie HD 6 to those that purchased iLife '08, in response to the criticisms.

There is no iLife 7. Apple skipped 2007 and went right from iLife '06 to iLife '08,.. maybe you're thinking of Quicktime.
