View Full Version : [all variants] ATI Radeon HD3650

Has anybody got a HD3650 functioning? I've just put together a new machine and have spent three days attempting to get it to work with something other than the vesa drivers. So far I've had no luck with EnvyNG, the driver in the repo's, or the one from the ati site (both automatic install and compiling it locally). Ideally I need to get it up and running with the 64 bit realtime kernel but haven't had any success with that or the generic 64 bit one as of yet.

Basically the driver seems to install fine but when I reboot and X loads my system will either restart or completely lock up on a black screen. If anybody has any ideas, pointers or crazy ati dance (I'm thinking I may be needing to dance around my open case whilst wearing some sort of impressive headwear and not much else) it would be awesome.

IT LIVES!!!! Turns out I was having some issues with memory allocation as described here (http://www.phoronix.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10100).
