View Full Version : [ubuntu] tone controls in alsa mixer

hi, i'm new using ubuntu studio and i'm very glad with it.

My problem is with alsa mixer. My soundcard is a sounblaster live CT4832 and when i enable tone controls (bass/treble) i can't enhance sound. tone controls don't work and mute controls either.

and is possible change frequency of this controls?

i know you'll help me.

well, i have the answer... :)

in QAMix > tone/3D > enable tone Control. Now in alsa mixer i can control treble and bass...

In trying to find a way to control bass and treble I did the "Pulse-audio How-to" which rendered my volume control to have no real good volume.
Now I have found this thread and have installed 'QAMix' to use with my Alsa Mixer. You stated, "in QAMix > tone/3D > enable tone Control". However, I am not able to find a "tone/3D" in my QAMix menus. Can you help me with this?
