trouble with GPG key - known password

I wasn't thinking and I generated my GPG key using a live CD. I uploaded it to the keyserver. I know they key id and can find the information if I search for it on the Ubuntu Keyserver.

I would like to generate the fingerprint but how do I do that on a different machine than the one I created the key on? Can I?

I did not create a revocation key. Can I create another key with the same email address?

What is the best course of action?

You can create another key, and have the same email in it if you want, but you can not recover the key if you don't have the private key.

Have the private key or the concept that without the private key you are basically hosed?
