I downloaded thunderbird from morzella. I found it in the files. Saw that it was stored in Gzip archive. I read the items about archives.Yet I still don't understand how to acitivate the download.

Thunderbird is available in the Ubuntu main repo. Use Synaptic or apt/aptitude to install it.

I don't understand your terminology. I am very new to ubuntu. I don't see synaptic or apt. Then I guessed apt means applications and saw add/remove which I am familiar with. Saw thunderbird in there it is working as in windows.

Finally getting something done. Been up since I got home from work, 10pm, trying to get things fixed in windows. After getting 4 trojans from looking for pictures for avatar I want to get rid of it. Going to wait a while as suggested. Might just keep it for when I need to check the traffic click, for ubuntu boots up slower.

One thing about the add/remove program that is different. I can't tell which is remove or add. I just took a chance it would work.

Thank you, thank you!!!
