Hi everyone, I'm completely ignorant to the ways of linux and such so I'll probably need my hand to be held a lot here. Apologize in advance. :)

Anyway, I've been trying to install a Linksys WPC11 wireless card on my brother's laptop with now success so far. I read another post that suggested I use ndiswrapper to install the windows driver but I haven't even figured out how to install the program. I tried extracting to Documents first, but I don't even know how to access the directory via a terminal, nor what to do to get everything to work. Please assist. :-?

I had a lot of trouble installing ndiswrapper at first as well, but then this guide eventually got ndiswrapper, its utils, and ndisgtk installed https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper but I'm still having issues making a driver that works.

heres my thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=876629

hopefully this'll get me started on the ndiswrapper part. Thanks.
