Hello. I'm a potential Ubuntu user in need of some advice.

Our office is switching from Winblows to Linux/Ubuntu/etc. In one of the PC's, a Dell Dimension with WinME  , I have a Conexant 23880 Video Capture card I've been using for digitizing old tapes. I've been doing some research, but can't find much of anything about the issue of the various distro's and how they deal with extra stuff like this card. Can anyone tell, or point me out to a FAQ that will tell me if my card will work with Ubuntu? Thanks for any help you can give. I'll probably have lots of questions for you later.

Thanks for the replies. Another kind soul on a tech help site pointed me out to the proper drivers, and I located a TV program that will do the same as the program that came with the card. Now, I'm trying to wrap my head around how to properly install this thing. After years of Amiga and Win, I'm gonna need some help! I'll be back with more questions soon.
