GtkNotebook::tab-curvature

Hey all, what does the tab-curvature property in the GtkNotebook class do? I couldn't find a proper explanation anywhere. All it seems to change is the horizontal padding in a tab. What is the 'curvature' referring to?

I'd assume it messes with the rounded-ness of the upper edges of the tab. If you notice, the tabs in most Gtk apps are half rounded-rectangles and half regular. I hope that makes sense.
