Audacity and sound audio

It's hard for me to explain, but my sound has been acting weird since I've setup my system to record through Mic In. Just 2 minutes ago I was splitting a long recording into multiple tracks, using Audacity and the Add Label feature. When I went to save the tracks using Export Multiple, it wouldn't let me.

It's funny, because now I can't even play the recorded audio. I click play and nothing happens. The cursor is set at the beginning of the recording.

Last night when Audacity was opened with the long recording, I couldn't play anything through Audacious. Now, I can play through Audacious but not Audacity. What's going on here?

I can't even select Preferences in Audacity.

And now, if I open a new Audacity project, I can't even record.

Soundrecorder allows me to record with my current settings and play it back. What is going on with Audacity? I have 2 hours worth of recording + 1 hour of sitting here splitting the tracks. I don't want to lose this.
