Nvidia X Server Settings

I have an Nvidia Driver, I have the driver enabled and I have access to Nvidia X Server Settings in System>Administration>Nvidia X Server Settings. My questions is, how do I make the resolution stay at what I set it as. I have 1280x1024, but it defaults to 1024x768. Any help? I have an Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT I believe.
