I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop (AMD 64 Athlon x2, 32-bit, A215-7416) with Vista, ATI, a Linksys router and Realtek wireless adapter.

I'm thinking of doing a dualboot with Vista and Ubuntu sometime soon and I was wondering if anyone has had success or problems with any of the things I mentioned above? I'm not new with computers, but I am new to operating systems other than Windows. Would it be tough to try and get these things to work? Would it be easier to try Ubuntu on my XP desktop? Is it tough to install and get everything running? Thanks for any and all input/suggestions!

Hi and welcome, The best thing to do is the use the live cd and see what works and doesn't. Then you can search the forums and ask for help on issues.
