Does the forum have any policy in place re resurrecting long-dead posts? I noticed yesterday that a certain user had dredged up several topics in the "Testimonials" forum that had died natural deaths many weeks ago. IMHO, it's not fair to users who've freshly posted, only to have their contributions buried by someone padding his/her post count.

We don't have a specific policy, but resurrecting old posts is something we discourage in general. It isn't prohibited, but when it is distracting or harmful, we have been known to do something.

If you find something that needs staff intervention, please feel free to use the report post function and we will take a look. :)

Sorry to butt in, by the Guide to Forum Features has a little guide about this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5086471&postcount=22

Now that I see the Archive is read only, I'll have to fix that.
