View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Change icons for specific file type systemwide

I am fairly certain that this question has been asked many times before, but I searched both in the forum and Google and surprisingly couldn't find out how.

So I want to change the icon for all .mp3 files, and not just individual files via preferences. This should not be hard to do, but for what ever reason I have a hard time figuring out where to do this.

Anyone kind enough to share your knowledge?

That's sad, weird, odd, and just plain stupid if you ask me. Seems like it should be an easy and obvious thing to implement. But what do I know...

So there is no ugly "hack" to make this possible at all?
