Linux installers like Doom III

Hello. I just got the Doom III installer that lets you play the Windows version of Doom III on Linux. It works great. Since I was never really able to get Wine to work, are there any other companies out there that offer patches that allow windows games to run on Linux? Thanks in advance. :)

The reason you were successful is that Doom III isn't a windows game... it has been built (ported) for Linux.

There is a list of pretty much every linux game available at http://www.happypenguin.org

There is alsa Cedega (google to find it) which costs a little bit of money, but is easier to use than wine and officially supports a large number of games.
