I'm not sure if anyone would seriously want to create Open Source TV shows that are actually worth seeing. "Law and Order: OSU (Open Source Unit)" ? I'm not sure selling a hardware can actually pay for it. It could simply be a website with people posting their amateur series or something :).

I guess this is a good one. Although I dont think there will be commercials (ads) that would contribute to the success of it (it it will be a tv show). The problem is commercialism is already set in the TV industry. I've written the show "Homepage" here in TO, Canada and asked them to feature any LInux distro but I did not get any reply. :(

Oh believe me, if it was up to me (ie if I had the $dough) I'd fund it. For my first show I would hire Steve Ballmer to do his infamous developers chant at a Linux meeting (wearing a "I <3 Tux" tshirt). I would need a lot of money for that, but its just an idea ;).

But how would you get any money if anybody could just download all the shows online and modify them however they wanted? ;)

I wonder if you could make a channel of OS multimedia programing... I know that's not what you meant by an OS channel, but it would be interesting.

Question back at you: how would you make money if the shows had an open license anyone could just copy from? Plus, no ads (gnu and ads dont fit.. it's like mixing ballmer with humans).

No dude, she's sick. We don't wanna send the wrong message to the world. People might think we're even more prone to viruses and/or corruption! We need someone clean like Alexis Bledel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Alexis_Bledel_in_Sin_City.jpg) or Chris Rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Chris_rock.jpg) making jokes at Windows users X-D. We're not brain dead, which is why we need smart and hip people! Plus, she's not the youngest person in the world anymore..

Edit: Oh oh, Ellen Degeneres (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellen_Degeneres) is a must!

Hah! The Dark Angel chick! I remember some of my friends actually sat down to watch Honey (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322589/) just for her. Yeah, she's better. She owned Sin City.. that kicks ass.

We need weird, non generic icons that stand out on their own and rock (it's the Linux spirit after all). Johnny Deep needs to get his drunken pirate suit a tux logo.
