View Full Version : [ubuntu] where do i get nsidwrapper

i keep hering ya'll talk about this nsidwrapper for running windows drivers on linux but i can find out where to download it, i need it because i have a dell inspiron 1501 and it has a broadcom wireless card and i need to get it running, i tried the restricted drivers but it gave the computer fits shuting down and when it finnally rebooted it saw networks but wouln't connect and after a few minuts it wouldn't see the networks at all, can someone help me please.

it didn't work, so i reinstalled the restricded drivers which arn't giving me fits but while it sees the card the wifi light in the keyboard is lit it still will not see the networks.

Here's the post for your Dell on the 1501 website (http://www.ubuntu1501.com/2008/04/ndiswrapper-in-hardy-heron.html). If this fails it may be that the drivers that they are supplying are out of date. The drivers with my previous post are up to date.
