Hi,
My aunt who knows very little about computers recently got a new laptop. Other than sending e-mail and using MS Office, she really does nothing else, nor does she want to learn anything more. My aunt (and the rest of my family) is a bit of a cheapskate and bought one of the cheapest notebook she could buy.
It so happened that the laptop was pre-installed with Ubuntu Gutsy (which I since then upgraded to Hardy). She is really opposed to study anything new (I tried to set Ubuntu up to look almost like WinXP), I installed MS Office 2003 under WINE.
I got to fix a lot of her quirks... (Slide Layout in PPT didn't work, fixed with winetricks, etc) ... but then I hit a roadblock--the thumbnail view in the Insert Pictures Dialog Box doesn't work properly. She's really frustrated, she kept on bashing Linux and why it doesn't "just work" for her and why it has to be so complicated.
All this intro boils down to just this question: How do I fix/enable thumbnail view for the dialog box?
Windows is not an option.
Thanks,
nicodoggie
