when you want to insert a link here on the board and you use the insert-link button above in the 'post new thread window' , you usually end up with 2 http's in that link, ... and 2http's after each other end up on ....guess what... --> microsoft.com :p ...serious error here i think

It's not an error; in the textbox that appears, http:// is already there, so when you paste a link with an http:// already in it you're inserting two instances. The first http:// appears in the box so that you can easily type in a URL without having to type http:// ; if you'll paste something and don't want it, you should double click the text box so that the URL will replace it.

My guess is that when Firefox can't locate an adress, it does a Google "I'm feeling lucky" search and Microsoft has perhaps done some "Goggle bombing" (Google this term if you're not familiar with it) to get the term http:// to stick to themselves. Good plan, I say.

so...if we would all work together ...we could 'own' that 'double //http' and make a link to this forum :p ...how should we do it?...would be a good one though...:p

Not sure we could, but we'd give it quite a high rank.
