Python help

I've been following tutorials for days, and I do everything that is instructed and for some reason I keep getting the same error when I try and execute a file,

No such file or directory


I've tried everything I can find, and I'm getting to the point were I just want to give up.

that is because the file is not marked as executable. Assuming that the file is /home/user/myprogam.py you should run this command to fix it:chmod +x /home/user/myprogram.py

I cant tell you how many times I tried that, and instead of actually typing the /user name i typed the actual word "user"
