I like to find all my posts and see if anyone has posted after me (that way if i provide what i think is an answer and it dont help them i can try again).
But when I click Search->Find All Your Posts it is a really bad interface. So instead I go Search->Advanced then i search for all posts by my username and the interface is much better.
Shouldent Search->Find All Your Posts be the same as Search->Advanced. I know this would help me a lot.
Also the auto fill in of the user name is really anoying

When you do a search via Search->Find All Your Posts you are looking at just the single posts you have made. When you search via the Search panel and use the advanced feature it will search threads with that persons name who has posted.
They are two seperate ways to find information. Also, its supposed to fill in your username its a quick reference feature that is user specific.
Hope that helps..

Yes I understand that, but it seems kinda usless to me just to see my posts. Much more usefull to me to find the threads I have posted in so that I can see if someone has posted because my responce sucked.
for example I would not have found your reply unless I searched for replys to my posts. Maybe another option in the search menu if not replaceing it.
I just dont see many people using the current one hence the idea of changing it.
Not to be a pain, I think the forums are great, but there is always room for improvment its just my 2 cents maybe no one else wants this.

It would be very useful to have a sign next to every result in "Find all your posts" that indicates whether there's been a reply to that thread after one's last reply. Just a dot, a tick or something. earobinson, do you agree?

That would be good, but making it the same as Search->Find All Your Posts would be even better, because sometimes someone replys to say thanks, I make a mental note of the user name and then next time i search ignore that post but if i see a diferent name then I will click it.
So yes that would be a step in the right direction but It could be even better. This is in no way an urgent request just something to keep in mind :) Im also a bit picky about my UI's

I don't think it should be made the same; it's always better to have the other option available. To remedy the situation you mentioned, maybe posts you've viewed could be excluded from the "tick". Just thinking out loud..

Either way or just give a link in the result page to "last" to allow you to visit the last page of the thread would be better than it is now.

yes both options would be good, keeping in mind too many options can become 'scairy' for a novice user. Yes 32meg your fix would be better than nothing but again it makes it hard to filter out the people that say thanks, also the interface quotes your responce so i get less info on my screen than i do with the search. But it is a step in the right direction. Would anyone else use this option or is it just me?

Also the auto fill in of the user name is really anoyingHave you enabled the auto subscription to a thread when you post in ? Then after that, each time you click on control panel you will see all the subscribed threads where there was an answer, so you can easily follow the threads where you posted, isn't it what you want ? maybe i wrong understood.

Ya thats what I want, Dident know that they had that :) thx
Ya this is exactly what I wanted. Guess its my bad for not looking harder. (Im not sure if this feature was include when I joined). I would still be nice to have the find feature that way I would only subscribe to posts that where really important to me (eg cant get my ipod working posts) but this will do very well for now :)

You can sort those threads into a separate subscription folder.
