I've installed Ubuntu Studio twice and had the same result each time. I can boot Ubuntu and log in, but there are no graphics, no Ubuntu Splash screen prior to log on or after, no sounds, no desktop. Just a terminal prompt. This is a fresh install of Ubuntu Studio from the 8.04.01 ISO image on a brand new 500 gb hd with no other OS. The PC is a Dell Dimension 8300 3.06 ghz, 3.5 GB ram, ATI Radeon 9800 graphic card. I'm kind of lost on this. Any help would be appreciated. I made partitions for /, home, usr, boot, opt, and swap.
