View Full Version : [ubuntu] usb hard drive,failed to boot

i installed an operating system on the hard drive but the boot loader
gave me no options so needless to say it screwed my system and i had to reinstall,so how can i reformat my drive to be just storage for now
till i learn more and can boot an operating system from it.
what else can i do with it???
i installed ubuntu studio

you can use gparted for reformatting a harddisk, if that's what you want.

(gparted is in the ubuntu repos)

sudo apt-get install gparted The gui is easy to follow.

Next time you try to install a new OS, using grub boot loader or super grub disk. It is fairly straight forward.
