Help required tweaking Virtualbok XP system

Ok all i have sucessfully installed Xp on a virtual system and have a few problems.

1. I cannot get the system to find my external hard drive.
2. I cannot get sound.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok somehow managed to get sound but am still unable to find my hard drive

when you start xp up go to Devices -> Install Guest Additions then u shud be able to see usb drives from within xp & it will give you mouse integration

I just tried that and when i click on add guest additions nothing happens at all

is xp started up before you click it?
xp might also not be autostarting it, try going to my computer and seeing if theres a cd in there

Have done it whilst XP was running and still no hard drive appeared only C shows up.
Everything else works fine internet sound.
Appart from the fact that since installing XP back on the pc has been in overdrive
