from where can i download and install openjdk for my ubuntu8.04
i don't have internet connection.....

It's in the Ubuntu repository.
sudo apt-get install openjdk-6-jre openjdk-6-jdk openjdk-6-jre-lib icedtea-gcjwebplugin
