I'm ready to ditch Evolution for Thunderbird + Lightning because of how Evolution notifies me of calendar events. Am I doing something wrong, or is this how Evolution works? When Evolution reminds me of a calendar event, I see a tiny notification icon. If I left-click this icon, ONLY THEN does a window pop up with my reminder. If I accidentally right-click the notification icon, the reminder disappears!
Is there a way to configure Evolution so that all my calendar reminders automatically pop up a window with the event reminder? I keep missing events because the notification icon is too subtle and I don't notice it.
In previous experience, Thunderbird + Lightning was very good with popping reminders up in my face. I can't seem to get Evolution to be as persistent with its reminders. I really don't want to get rid of Evolution because of how well it integrates into the Gnome desktop, but this reminder thing is important enough that if I can't fix it, I'll have to switch.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
