I recently installed Hardy on an extra desktop that I had. I had trouble with the dial up modem(conexant). I found all the drivers on the linuxant site, configured gnome-ppp and everything worked just fine. Last night I downloaded some updates (kernels, I believe and some restricted stuff). I will be installing a pci wireless card...that's why the updates. After I rebooted I can no longer detect a modem!!! Can anyone help

Problem resolved. I had to wait for Linuxant to release the proper HSFMODEM file for my kernel. It was not available when I updated the kernel.
Now it works.

what did you do? I can't seem to get my Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U To Work. ubuntu Seems To Have The Driver For My Device. But Cant Figure Out Why It Does Not Show UP.

I have a Conexant modem. Linuxant makes linux drivers for them. I am not sure about Sierra.
