Hi,

I'm new to Ubuntu...just installed 8.04 on an older box after playing w/ it a few days in MS Virtual PC...

I was able to connect to the shared printer on my Vista PC from my Ubuntu box, but I cannot see any of the folder shares on my Vista PC.

I can access these shared folders from all my other Windows XP PCs, so I know it's not a Vista problem. I can access my Ubuntu shares from my Vista PC as well. Also, I can see my shared folders on my XP PCs from Ubuntu's network places.

Why can I see the Vista PC listed in my Ubuntu box's network places, but not see any shares when I open it?

Thanks in advance.
