Wine - mutliple cd installations

does any one know anything about wine? i am trying to install the Longest Journey through wine. unfortunately, the game has 5 cds and when it asks me to put in the 2nd disk, i cannot because ubuntu wont eject my cdrom drive. if i eject manually, it gets confused and can't find anything on the 2nd cd. does anyone have any experience with this problem?

I had the same problem with installing Guild Wars using cedega. It wouldn't let me switch CDs. So I grabbed a needle, found the little "eject forcing hole thingy" and pushed the needle in it to forcefully eject the tray. Then I replaced the disc, pushed the tray back in, and pressed the eject button on the player. Worked like a charm. :p

You could try this little HOWTO in the Ubuntu Wiki...

Ubuntu-Wiki EjectCDLauncher (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/EjectCDLauncher?highlight=%28CategoryDocumentation %29)

This will create an icon for you to click when you want to eject your CD.

i definitely tried that. when i put disk 2 in it couldn't see anything on the cd. weird.

Or, you can just do "eject /media/cdrom" from the command line...
