.net apps don't work

Is there a replacement for the .net framework for wine? I'm tired of .net, I feel liked I've tried everything; winetricks, dotgnu, mono....

I am understanding why I see so many people complaining about .net apps.

winetricks seems to do .net quite well.. hmm I seem to recall having an issue with winetricks in the past though.
