Compiz to Start up without fusion-icon

2 Questions, can you get compiz to start up without Fusion-icon? i type THIS in the terminal... here is my output.
Checking for Xgl: not present
Found laptop using radeon driver
aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity
if i can, please tell me how! i forgot how because i did it in my other installation of ubuntu (sadly, had to start all over:( )

and 2, what is Xgl?

OK Got the compiz part... but, what is Xgl?

XGL is an xserver addon, sort of...you do not need it, and can run compiz with aiglx instead, so dont worry about it
