Hello,

I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 the other day (on all my machines) and everything went fine. Except a weird rdesktop problem. I am using tsclient to connect to several windows virtual machines. However, every ten to fifteen minutes one of these two problems appear:

1. If I select some text, and release the mouse button, then move the mouse rdesktop still hilights text (I assume this is a problem with detecting the mouse button release)

2. Shortcut keys stop working (any CTRL+ or ALT+ functions). For example, if I press CTRL+Z, the letter "z" appears in whatever application I am using.

Is this a problem with ubuntu's package of rdesktop? Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you work around it?

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 server with KDE 3.5.

Cheers

I've been using rdesktop on Hardy x64 for a while now and I never experienced any of those issues...
Maybe try to reinstall (purge)?
Could be some broken configuration.
I don't know where the rdesktop config files are kept, but you could also try looking there...
Sorry I couldn't be much help, I'm kinda green here too...

I use rdesktop in Hardy everyday, no issues. Try reinstalling.
