somethings wrong with programs and browsers

the thing is the top orange part of a program is gone and missing
without the minimize or close button , how do I get that back, I messed
with some compiz settings so whats a command to revert that.

either disable compiz to regain your normal desktop settings or if you want to keep compiz active and choose cooler looking borders make sure emerald is installed. Once you have emerald and a theme installed in it go into the advanced desktop effects manager and go to the window border area. where it says command type in "emerald --replace" and then you should be good.

If emerald is not yet installed, type in a terminal:

metacity --replace

and remove your desktop effects
