how can i see the icon on desktop after install the nautilus

I managed to make a cube desktop and changed all the windows with different wallpapers after i installed nautilus, but all the shortcuts on the desktop disappear and can't even use the right click on the background.
Any ideas how to bring the shortcuts back??? anyone?? thx

Alt+F2 -> gconf-editor

After that go to: Apps -> Nautilus -> Preferences, and check the box "Show Desktop"

But you'll lose the 4 different wallpapers...
