I have tried my hardest to do the research on this before asking and I have not yet found a great guide or answer on how to do this, so I am hoping someone can help. What I am looking for is how to change the backgrounds on the top and bottom panels that come with a standard Ubuntu/Gnome installation. If I remember correctly (I am at work now, so can't double check) you can right click on the panel and add an image. If that is the case, is there a source for these images anywhere?
And if that isn't how it's done, that what do I do. I read through the Making Linux Look Like XP thread and there was a section where he gave the command line info, but I felt like it was slighty out of context for exactly what I am trying to figure out. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I guess I should've pointed out that I do know how to change color and transparecny on these panels, but I often come across desktop screen shots of Ubuntu and see completely different panels that may say something other than "Applications", etc.
