Ok this laptop is about a year old so its still good with a decent
processor and 1.5 gigs of ram, I installed compiz fusion and set it
up awesomely but first I went to appearance and set up visual effects
to extra, so I got that cube spinning nicely with high definition
wallpapers on top and bottom of cube caps , I got the animations
with files burning or exploding and the wobble looking cool. Now
My problem is after 10 or 20 mins this all stops and nothing works
the wobble and cube and effects are all gone , I check advanced effect
desktop settings and they are all there (settings) but when I go to
appearance the visual effects boxes are all unchecked and I redid
this twice and same thing happened the visual effects check boxes are unchecked, and when I reboot the whole compiz goes back to defaulted after
all that work. Is this something with my graphics card because it should
be OK , or should I install a special driver or patch to make my graphics card better ,(the graphics worked real good in vista, but vista sucks and I
Deleted it ) now here is the graphics card , its 252 mb Mobile Intel
GraphicsMedia Accelerator X3100 running on acer aspire 5315 model.
Thanks if you can help I set it up great and want it working like that.
