I have a NVIDIA 8600 GT graphics card with the latest driver and would like to use the rotation function in the NVIDIA control panel, but it keeps giving me the error message:

"The display cannot be rotated, due to the current resolution and refresh rate.

You can try to rotate your display again, after changing either the resolution or the refresh rate or both."

I am using an HP Monitor - w2408h with an the OS Vista Home Premium 64bit. The monitor has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 @ 60hz. I get the same response no matter what resolution setting I choose. I have also tried the Pivot Pro software with no luck.

Any advice as how to resolve this issue.

In the NVIDA Control panel with Advanced Settings selected, there is a section for display rotation, in which you can rotate a monitor that is capable in 90 degree increments. However, as said I cannot get it to function.
