well, if I'm doing this right on the UPS website...its telling me about $277 US. That's a lot. I'm going to see if there's a cheaper way...I've never shipped internationally before.
Checked FedEx too, about the same price. :-/

I don't want to buy it, but I'd like to know which nvidia driver (and version) you're using, since I'm having performance problems with the same mainboard.
Problems are:
- gargling/clicking sound when playing video
(resolution and refresh-rate dependent)
- approx. 2fps for flash-videos(eg youtube) fullscreen
Any info/help appreciated.
thanks!

I can check into it more for you.
Jsewill actually owns the computer, you could PM him as well.
FYI, computer is no longer for sale. My bf decided to keep the computer to do web design with.

Thanks for the info!
I'll PM "jsewill" ?
I'm already happy if he tells me that there *is* a driver/kernel/config combination that this board will work with.

^rooker,
It is definitely functioning great! I have the latest restricted driver from nvidia. However, the video chipset works great with both restricted and community driver modules. No extra kernel configuration necessary. I found it was easiest to use envyng-gtk instead of the stock restricted drivers applet, then configure it using nvidia-settings (which envyng-gtk installs).
It isn't super powerful, but desktop effects (i.e compiz with advanced settings frontend, 'compizconfig-settings-manager') works really well. Much better than my previous experience with a PCI express GeForce 7300LE.
ALSA automatically loads the correct modules and firmware for sound. Ethernet NIC modules are loaded automatically and function correctly as well.
[All of the packages I mentioned show up in the gnome menus once installed, so no invoking terminal unless you want to]

Thanks for the fast reply!
A few more questions please (sorry...):
1) Which resolution & refresh rate are you using?
(My audio problems appeared with 1280x1024 (75Hz) and above - *not* below).
At this resolution, audio-clicks only appear when watching videos.
2) Are you able to play flash-videos (e.g. youtube) fullscreen with a reasonable framerate?
Besides that, audio & NIC worked right out of the box. :)
Thanks for your time!

You're welcome!
I just tried Red vs. Blue on youtube to make sure and it works in every mode I set it to(I normally have it set to 1024x768 85hz, others I tried were 1024x768 75hz, 1280x1024 60hz, and 1600x1200 60hz). With desktop effects enabled there was no lag or hesitation in video or audio, but above 1024x768 there was lag in response to my control input(pressing escape and/or clicking the pause button took a few seconds to register). All those modes worked well with no lag, hesitation, skip, glitch, or lack of response when desktop effects were disabled.

Have you tried installing the Nvidia driver modules with envy?
Also, have you tried turing desktop-effects off?

So far I've only tried the nvidia-glx-new from the repositories. Will try the latest binary (using envy).
Thanks again for your infos!
