Hello all,

Just wondering if I could use an integrated graphics solution like the Radeon HD3200 or Geforce 8200 to get the 3D eye candy working in Linux, and which would be recommended/easiest to set up.

I'm doing a budget build in a case that has a 380w power supply, so budget and power consumption limitations don't leave much room for a separate graphics card :) This will mainly be a Windows box, but I have been itching to try out a modern Linux distro as well. My last foray into Linux was on Xandros 2.0. I'm sure it's changed a little since then :)

Hi and welcome, I have a system with the onboard nvidia 6100 graphics and it works great.

I have used an ATI x1250, 1650 they both worked and ran effects however if you wanted flawless effects & 3D I would go for an nVidia card.
